Nearing the end of his first year of life, Luke starts to suffer from myoclonic jerks. This progresses to tonic clonic seizures and a diagnosis of a genetic epilepsy. His seizures are controlled over the years but he has delayed speech and slightly delayed development. He develops a wonderful wee personality, full of love. He is bright and intelligent, and sings beautifully. His memory is excellent, especially for songs and rhymes. He can count to 20 aged 2.5. He is active, runs about like all the other kids and is full of mischief!
